Shop 'Til you Drop

With all the great sales on at the moment I think it’s time to go on a bargain hunt.  There is nothing more satisfying than getting an awesome piece of clothing on the cheap.  Here are a few tips to get you through the day without making mistakes.
Preparation is key.  Remember what you are wearing will be taken off several times so make sure it will be easy.
·         Flat slip on shoes are better than lace up sneakers
·         Trousers or jeans will go with more top styles than leggings
·         A knit top is easier to get on and off than a button up shirt or chiffon top
·         Too many layers get tricky and tiresome so keep it simple
Shopping is hard work and shopping sales is an all-day work out.   You’re on your feet, trying on clothes, taking on colour, textures and shapes, adding up figures.  You need to stop refuel and re-calibrate your senses.  Regular breaks make all the difference in making the distance.
Focus on the positive.  Because the prices are great you are more tempted to try things, but remember some things have ended up on the sales rack because of things like colours that aren’t flattering on, styles that don’t quite fit right.   So don’t let those knock backs get you down and start thinking nothing works for you.  Remember the great bargains you have bagged or think of the money you have saved from not buying.
Don’t let the price be the overriding reason for your purchase.   You still need to ask these questions
·         Does it fit correctly?
·         What do own that I can wear with it?
·         Where will I wear it?
·         Do I already own something similar that does the same job?
If the answer to these questions is ‘for that price I don’t really care’ then rethink your decision.  Because if it just ends up in your throw out pile when you spring clean your wardrobe you are just throwing away your hard earned money.
Let me know if you have any tips of your own that help you with sale time.
